A Historic Stagecoach Stop converted into an Idyllic Lodging Experience
Hunter Road Stagecoach Stop is part of the original El Camino Real Route, one of only 19 historic trails in America. This path goes through the City of New Braunfels, and our facility is located right along this route.
Its Original Purpose
During the mid-1800s, Hunter Road Stagecoach Stop served as a convenient resting place for stagecoaches, covered wagons, and travelers who were on their way from Mexico to East Texas. The stop also served as an area post office to the nearby ranches and farms.
What It Is Now Today
The stop was transformed into a lodging facility in 1995. Under the ownership and vision of Dawn McCord Rodriguez, Hunter Road Stagecoach Stop now serves as a premier vacation rental destination for residents of Texas as well as visitors from all over the United States.
